Ion Exchange Enviro Farms Limited (IEEFL),
an organic agri-horticulture business venture, was incorporated in August
1995 as a subsidiary of Ion Exchange (India) Ltd. It has three strategic
business units:
Enviro
Farms
A Farm Management division for high net worth individuals, it has
12 organic orchard Enviro Farms spread across more than 900 acres
in the Indian states of Maharashtra, Goa and Tamil Nadu, with a total
project cost of Rs. 250 million. Enviro Farms abide by the European
Union Regulation EEC 2092/91 as the norm for organic certification. |

certifies us for organic production, farm cultivation and development
has been undertaken under guidance of experts from the US and Israel.

Contract
Farming
Our Contract Farms with Community Grower Groups (CGG) enable high
production volumes with minimum land investment, to deliver a steady
supply of organic produce to the Indian and international markets.
Currently, our contract farming arrangements with farmers and tribal
CGG cover a total area of 1800 acres. |
Produce
Marketing
IEEFL markets certified organic produce from its Enviro Farms and
Contract Farming business units to the Indian and International markets,
in fresh, processed (pulp/juice/frozen) or dehydrated forms. Fresh
and processed fruits and vegetables are marketed under our brand ORGANO
FRESH and other products like dehydrated fruits, nuts, grain, cereals
and seeds are marketed under our ORGANO WORLD brand. |

Every stage of the organic process is internationally certified
by international bodies like ECOCERT SA as per European Standards (EEC
2092/91) and accredited for National Organic Standards by Agricultural
and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA), Ministry
of Commerce, a Government of India body. Certification of conformity with
European Union Regulation (EEC) 2092/91 is issued after a thorough inspection
of procedures, including record keeping, nutrient perishables and pest/disease
management.
